Essential Public Media announced today that they have taken over official ownership of the former WDUQ-FM, now being identified as “Essential Public Radio WESA-90.5 FM”. As part of the sale approved by the FCC in July, the station was to get new calls and opted for the set once assigned to 98.3 FM when it was licensed to Charleroi. In addition to 90.5, the station continues to be heard at 92.3 FM in New Baltimore, 100.5 FM in Johnstown and 104.1 FM in Ligonier and Somerset.

The station’s new website is www.EssentialPublicRadio.org.
