950 WDIG up for “sacrifice” sale
January 28, 2017Area media broker Ray Rosenblum has announced that WDIG (950 Steubenville) is up for sale. It is an “urgent sacrifice” sale at $40,000 with $30,000 paid at closing and the remaining $10,000 paid over 10 months with no interest. The sale includes a 4-tower, 15-acre site near Weirton. ERP is 1000 watts by day; 35 at night.
The station format is Urban AC and is owned by the World Witness For Christ Ministries, Inc. It signed on as WLIT in 1973 and became WDIG in January 1987.
The fifteen acres is likely worth more than $40K.
Made a lot of money at WLIT back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. 950 was a great station back in the day!
