A new CEO for Cornerstone

40 WPCBThe Rev. Don Black was named the new CEO of Cornerstone TeleVision in January. CTVN operates WPCB-TV (40 Greensburg) and WKBS-TV (47 Altoona) from its studios in Wall, Allegheny County. Black takes the role once held by the station’s co-founder Russ Bixler who was later followed by Olean Eagle and most recently, The Rev. Ron Hembree. The new CEO has a three-year plan includes new programming ideas including the possibility of a reality-style show. He would also like to see the company return to syndicating programs and further use their digital subchannels to their fullest.

Black is a Washington native and grew up in Ebensburg. After high school and college he attended Regent University in Virginia Beach. It was there he met his future wife, a Butler native.  Black has a master’s degree in communication and is ordained in the Full Gospel Fellowship. Some past employers include CBN Family Channel, INSP Network and other ministry positions. He tells the Tribune-Review, “Our call is to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as we can as quickly as we can.”
