The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) owned the top-40 KQV-AM (1410) in the 1960s and early 70s. Now the station is carrying ABC Radio News at the top of every hour. News Director Frank Gottlieb says, “The new affiliation with the ABC Information Network enhances KQV NewsRadio’s unparalleled local, state, national and international coverage for Pittsburgh; adding to the resources of AP Radio, Radio Pennsylvania, Bloomberg, and The Wall Street Journal Radio Network.”

KQV has carried the all-news format and has remained locally owned for over 35 years. In addition to 1410 AM and online at www.kqv.com, the station is now supported through apps on the iPhone and Android Smartphones.
