Sir Walter Raleigh (John Christian) dies
Pittsburgh:PBRTV has received a tip that former WAMO personality Sir Walter Raleigh, whose real name was John Christian, passed away late Sunday night at the age of 92, so reports KQV Radio.
KQV News Director Frank Gottlieb remembers, "when I worked at WAMO the soul jocks were Brother Matt in the morning, Hal Brown late morning, Sir Walter early afternoon and Porky Chedwick 'til AM signoff."
