Cool 1370 now online.

Erie-Meadville: Vilkie Communications station "Cool 1370" WHYP in Corry now has its own website where online streaming of the Classic Hits station will be added soon. The address is similar to that of sister station "Cool 101.7" in Meadville. Log on to www.cool1370online.com/ to find out more about the station. The station will focus on serving the Corry area with music and local sports coverage. Of course, NASCAR will also be part of 1370 as it has been for several years.

Do you know if Vilkie Communications has any plans to buy WGRP and/or WLOA from EMF and expand the Cool classic hits brand? I know WGRP simulcasted WMVL for a while quite a few years ago. The company might be able to get the stations inexpensively, considering the deal EMF made for all three signals not long ago. Glad to see a local owner investing money in the stations and making them part of the community.

As long as the station doesn’t have the miserable morning man I worked with the summer I was there, the station should do just fine.
