WKHB gets translator W231BM Clairton
Pittsburgh:WKHB-AM (620 Irwin) is now being simulcast on translator W231BM (94.1 Clairton). Current owner of the translator, Educational Media Foundation is in the process of shedding several translators in the area as they work to increase power on WPKV-FM (98.3 Duquesne). WPKV is still owned by Keymarket, but the sale of the station to EMF will soon close. When that sale becomes final, the sale of W231BM to WKHB owner Broadcast Communications Inc. will also become final. The signal for 94.1 primarily serves the Mon Valley area.
*Disclaimer: Eric O'Brien works part time for Broadcast Communications and, if he can be narcissistic, gave the first Legal ID (under BCI operation) for the new translater at 4:57 p.m.

Does this mean we’ll get to hear Dr. Winer in stereo?

Looks like there’s an app to move this north, much closer to downtown Pittsburgh, and increase to 84 watts.

Yes, said App is in place. No word on anything further.

Oh boy…now we can listen to all the quacks like Dr. Gallegher and Dr. Winer in stereo! No we can get more bad advise in a panaramic environment!
