In Memory: Perry Marshall
Pittsburgh:
PBRTV received word that the legendary Perry Marshall passed away today after a brief illness. He was 86. Marshall was on the air in Pittsburgh for many years at stations including KQV, WJAS, WEEP and KDKA where he hosted the overnight talkshow for many years. He also worked at stations outside of Pittsburgh including WIND in Chicago. Perry's daughter, Robin posted the announcement to her Facebook page where she said that he died gracefully. "He would want me to say this to you all, 'Keep lookin' for it, you'll find it.'" We wish Robin and her family the best at this time. (Photo courtesy of KDKA Radio/Marshall Adams)

Very sorry to hear that. I feel like a piece of my past is gone. Loved to go to sleep listening to his program.
RIP

When I was in radio myself, I woke up to Parry Marshall at about 5 a.m. before starting my own morning show on a 6 a.m. to midnight FM station. I enjoyed his smooth voice, cool demeanor and great intelligence. He was a joy to listen to. We all will miss him.

What a great guy Perry was….I fell asleep listening to his show 5 nights a week for years through his retirement.
If it was about cooking a turkey in a brown paper bag or if it was about UFO’s, it was always interesting.
It was hard for me when he retired and went off the air, because no-one actually measured up to Perry.
My Sympathy to his family, and I hope they know just how many people Perry was important to, and that he really made a difference in so many peoples lives.
RIP Perry….I will miss you….!
