I usually don't make a big deal about the monthly trends considering that they remain pretty much the same, but this time there are a few surprises. These figures represent the months of August-October (AKA Phase I).

Eric wondered, “Are we seeing an ill-effect with WJAS’ (1320) reliance on syndicated programming? The last couple of books haven’t boded well for the heritage adult standard station. #13.”

My answer: It most certainly is. I can only hope WJAS’ contract with the John Trash Radio Show runs out soon.

I too was surprised to see WKFB finally make the ratings, but pleasantly so. Isn’t most AM radio niche programming anyway (even KDKA fills a niche anymore…senior citizen and/or Republican conservative)?

And Renda must be making a good buck on using John Tesh, or else he’d be in the dumper faster than yesterday’s paper…
