February 2, 2017 Off By Eric O'Brien

CBS Radio announced plans to merge with Entercom that would create a 244-station company across 47 markets. The move is a surprise to everyone as CBS Radio was planning to merely spinoff from its parent company. Entercom CEO, David J. Field, will be the CEO of the combined company. The deal is expected to close in the second half of the year. Only 15 stations will have to be divested to meet ownership requirements.

CBS Radio owns KDKA-AM (1020), KDKA-FM (93.7), WBZZ-FM (100.7) and WDSY-FM (107.9).
