Our friends at Fybush.com report that the sale of the former “88.5 Jazz FM” city grade translator has been sold from owner Bill Shannon to Citadel Broadcasting. The final price was $62,500 for W285AI at 104.9 to become a translator for WRIE “ESPN 1260 The Score.” An agreement has also been made to place the translator equipment at the WICU / WSEE studios on State Street, with the STL signal coming from the Citadel studios on Robison Road. The city grade signal should be set up in time for the Cleveland Indians regular season games in April.
