Drew Salamon named Director of Sales at CC Cluster

We were remiss in reporting that Drew Salamon, General Sales Manager for WDVE-FM (102.5) and WXDX-FM (105.9), was named Director of Sales for the 6-station Clear Channel cluster last week. Salamon has history in area radio starting out as an intern at WWSW-FM (94.5) before moving to a sales position at Jet Broadcasting in Erie and returning to Pittsburgh and Clear Channel. His father, Ed Salamon, worked at KDKA-AM (1020) before becoming a programmer as well as President of Programming for Westwood One and the executive director for Country Radio broadcasters. (The senior Salamon also wrote Pittsburgh’s Golden Age of Radio for Arcadia Publishing as well as an article for PBRTV in which he interviewed Bob Mack about Pittsburgh Oldies.)
