‘DVE / ESPN 970 renews with Steelers

It was announced Friday on the “DVE Morning Show” by Art Rooney II that the Pittsburgh Steelers have renewed their radio play by play contract with Clear Channel stations WDVE 102.5 and “ESPN 970” WBGG for the next five seasons. The stations have carried the Black & Gold since 1998, which has helped ‘DVE stay at the top or near the top of the ratings. Of course, there may not be an NFL season if an agreement with the owners and players union cannot be reached before the status of the 2011 season goes in jeopardy later this year.
