June 28, 2012 Off By Eric O'Brien

Bill Hillgrove will be on the Internet airwaves beginning July 7. He will be hosting a weekly show on the year-old Pittsburgh Jazz Channel. Hillgrove is no stranger to jazz. Although he is now primarily a play-by-play announcer and sports reporter, he is also a jazz fan and supporter.

Hillgrove has hosted music programming in the past on WKJF-FM (93.7; now KDKA-FM) with its beautiful music format. He also hosted “JazzBeat” on WQED-TV (13). He got his start at WDUQ-FM (90.5; now WESA-FM) while a student at Duquesne University.
