This Harris 9003 automation sits just outside the WSHH-FM studios in the early 1980s at the tail end of ownership by Nationwide Communications. Then-chief engineer, Craig Kopcho posted this photo gem to a Facebook page called “I Take Pictures of Studios“. Says Kopcho, “The beginning of the end began in the 80s. Harris 9003 automation system is a major market station. WSHH Pittsburgh.” The studios of WSHH were on the second floor of 1459 Crane Avenue where they remained until 1997. WJAS was on the first floor.
