Holiday Ratings out

January 27, 2017 Off By Eric O'Brien

While I was busy at work on Thursday, the Holiday Book was released by Nielsen Audio. As one might expect, WWSW (94.5) and WSHH (99.7) – the all-Christmas stations – were neck and neck and both were out way ahead of WDVE (102.5). 3-W-S had 13.7 (up from 9.3); Wish was at 12.4 (up from 7.6). WDVE came in at 8.4 (down from 10.4). The Christmas format wasn’t so kind to WDSY (107.9) which usually wins in the Country wars. Their nearly 2-week stint with Country Christmas music dropped the station 2 full points allowing iHeart’s WPGB (104.7) to gain a full point.
