In memoriam: Hyle Richmond

Hyle Richmond, who was well known for his decades of work in Erie television news, passed away June 3 at the age of 90. Richmond started his career in radio in Buffalo, New York but spent the majority of his career at WICU-TV (12 Erie) where he was hired in 1957. Channel 12’s website claims Richmond was a pioneer in the business having shot and edited his own film and adapting in the changeover from film to video era.
