From wkbn.com; We’d like to send our get well wishes to My Valley Sports.com anchor Joe Aulisio.

Joe was injured Wednesday while shooting a story on Liberty High School’s football team. At a practice, he was in the offensive backfield when he got caught up in a play.

He was taken to Saint Elizabeth Health Center after the accident.

“The coaches and the players and the community at Liberty are very, very concerned about the condition of Joe and feel terrible that the incident occurred during practice. We just want to wish him the best of luck and a very, very speedy recovery,” said Liberty Coach Jeff Whittaker.

Joe said the coaches and players at Liberty were fantastic and he’s doing fine. He had spinal surgery Thursday afternoon and should make a full recovery.

He joked that he “hopes Girard’s backfield fares better than I did.”
