Joey Stevens to leave local TV

According to www.goerie.com, longtime WSEE “Chief Forecaster” Joey Stevens will soon no longer be seen on the station after the 11pm newscast Wednesday night. Joey has been handling weather duties going back to the very strong “Action News 24” days along with Anchor Don Shriver (who also was anchor at WSEE for a few years after leaving WJET TV.) and Sports with John Evans (now a Pennsylvania Congressman.) Of course, Joey was also a D.J. at then “Top 40 Powerhouse” WJET 1400 before moving to the TV side. While Joey will no longer be seen on local TV, he will still handle forecasting duties for “One Caribbean Weather” via satellite for viewers in the Caribbean and Central America. We wish Joey all the best and thank him for his many years of service to the Erie community.
