1020 KDKAKDKA-AM (1020) will feature its 31st annual Spaghetti Breakfast this Friday from 5:00 – 9:00 a.m. at the Heinz Hall Garden Plaza, Downtown. As always, the public is invited to join “KDKA Morning News” hosts Larry Richert and John Shumway for pasta and live entertainment. Other station personalities and local dignitaries will serve the food. The event was created by the late John Cigna in 1983 and it continues to support The Little Sisters of the Poor – a charity the morning host faithfully supported.

The annual event will feature the start of a new feature for the morning show. Beginning this Friday from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. and happening weekly from then on, Jim Krenn will join Larry and John to share his unique and humorous insights with the listeners. Krenn spent 24 years as a morning host on WDVE (102.5), currently has his own weekly podcast, and performs several comedy performances each year.
