KDKA hires Walsh
July 29, 2014Rich Walsh returns to the airwaves today. He has been hired by KDKA-TV (2) to cover sports. Walsh spent several years at WPXI (11) in the same capacity, but the station let him go at the end of 2013. In the meantime he has been doing some work for ROOT Sports. Walsh likely fills the void Jory Rand left when he departed for a new job on the west coast last month.
Meanwhile part-time WPXI reporter Jodine Costanzo left the station in June for a full-time position in advertising sales. The new job affords her a flexible schedule allowing her more time with her husband and two sons.
Just a matter of time for Rich Walsh. I’m happy for him.
