KDKA-TV (2) anchor Kimberly Gill is leaving the station effective November 8. She will anchor her last newscast in Pittsburgh on the 7th. According to the Post-Gazette, Gill is heading to Detroit and WDIV-TV (NBC) where she will be a reporter and fill-in anchor. She joined KDKA three years ago as anchor of the Noon and 4:00 p.m. newscasts with veteran anchor Stacy Smith and host of “Your Pittsburgh” with David Highfield.

    I’m going to miss Kim. She’s one of the best new talents to pass through the ‘Burgh recently. I wish her well in Detroit.

    I enjoyed Kimberly Gill throughout her time at KDKA. The selfish part of me would much prefer she stayed put, but we know Detroit is a more significant market. I wish her all the best. Thanks a million, Kimberly.
