KQV to Broadcast Communications

Lance Venta reported this morning that KQV (1410) has been sold to Broadcast Communications Inc. for $55,000. The sale includes the license and some of the assets of the station but not the long time tower site in Ross Township. An application is expected to be filed to diplex 1410 on the WEDO tower in North Versailles.

    thank god those calls will live on….suggesting a news person and live jock for mornings. plenty of jingles out there. and some of the overnight stuff they’ve run over the years.

    Will 1410 become non-directional at a reduced power? Will the FCC allow for a different signal pattern? This will be interesting.

    I guess WKFB will no longer be able to say that they play more music than KQV and KDKA combined.
