Local jock suspended for social media comments

WPXI is reporting that WAMO-AM (660 Wilkinsburg; 100.1 Pittsburgh) DJ Mike Jax has been taken off the air for comments he made on Instagram about Freddie Gray, the young man who was killed by Baltimore Police. The photo that Jax posted listed 22 charges Gray faced before he died. WAMO general manager Jamal Woodson told Channel 11 that the station was flooded with listener complaints and posted an apology to the station’s Facebook page.

    frankly forgot about wamo 100.1, at best the suspended jock gave them a free bump without the owners having to buy outdoor advertising or tv adds.
