Lokay heading to Boston

October 5, 2011 Off By Eric O'Brien

KDKA-TV Traffic and Transportation reporter Jim Lokay heads to Boston and WCVB-TV (5) effective October 14. He will become the weekend morning news co-anchor at the Hearst-owned station, a sister to Pittsburgh’s WTAE-TV (4). The East McKeesport native has spent the last 6 years on the KDKA-TV morning news where he has done some fill-in anchoring at times, but has mainly served as traffic reporter.

This isn’t Lokay’s first job outside of the market, before coming back home to KDKA-TV he was an anchor at Syracuse station “YNN”. Before that he was a reporter for Westwood One’s Metro Traffic here in Pittsburgh. He is a 2002 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania.

“I’m really excited, but it’s tough to go,” he told to Post-Gazette who broke the news today.
