Moon Township honors DeNardo

Joe never said they would, but they did. The western Allegheny County Township of Moon honored long-time resident Joe DeNardo by naming a street after him. In addition to 35 years on the air at WTAE-TV (4), he was chairman of Moon’s Parks and Recreation Board for 24 years. The street is located in a community park.

When WTAE anchor Sally Wiggin interviewed DeNardo, she discovered that he still comes up with his own forecasts using his home computer. She asked, “Are you still good?” He responded, “I’m outstanding!”
