MRN – 50 Years

February 19, 2018 Off By Eric O'Brien

Today is the 50th Anniversary of the first time Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood aired on a network then known as “National Educational Television”. I would have to consult the archived guest register at the church, but I believe today is also the 24th anniversary of the day I met Fred Rogers… if not, it’s darn close. There are so many Pittsburghers – some who are good friends of mine – who were involved with the program over the years. The site – neighborhoodarchive.com –  is the most accurate at catching the details of all 895 episodes and the Who’s Who for each program.
