This coming Saturday (November 27th) will be a milestone birthday for a true broadcast legend. Myron Jones, who has owned broadcast properties in Erie (WJET TV and Radio), Youngstown (WHOT Radio) and Pittsburgh (WEEP Radio) will turn 85 years old. Though I have never personally met or worked for Myron, I know many of you who have known or worked for him have many stories of this great broadcast pioneer. As a tribute leading up to his birthday this week, I would welcome you to share your memories here for others to read as a way to “Give Thanks”. It’s important to remember those pioneers who paved the way for those of us who would come later with the love of working in TV and/or Radio in their blood. Feel free to post as many stories as you wish.
