News from the surrounds…

December 5, 2016 Off By Eric O'Brien

It’s not often anymore that we get reports from outside of the Pittsburgh area, but we have received word from a couple of those stations that are in our coverage region.

Tom Taylor reported this morning that WQKK, licensed to Renovo, PA, dropped the AC format for an 80s-based. The station is owned by the Stapleford family under the company name of Magnum Broadcasting. WQKK’s signal covers State College with its Class A signal.

christmas-sunny-1470-am-logoSam Jordan, operations manager of WLOA (1470 Farrell) reported that his station flipped to all Christmas on December 1 and will continue through Christmas Day. The regular programming such as CBS news, local news, sporting events, etc. will continue to air as needed.
