O’Reilly leaves radio in 2009

Westwood One will have a gaping hole in its daily schedule come the first quarter of 2009. Bill O’Reilly will be giving up his radio gig. Tom on Radio-Info says, For O’Reilly it’s become a necessity given that he puts in 60-65 hours worth of work between Fox, the radio gig, a newspaper column and yet other work.

KDKA-AM (1020) has been the latest Pittsburgh home for O’Reilly in the form of a late night tape delay. We wonder what the station may put in place. Now’s probably not the time to recommend a costly, LOCAL program….
