Pittsburgh Penguins land on ESPN 96.7

Pittsburgh Penguins fans in Mercer county and parts of the Youngstown region can now hear the Pittsburgh Penguins action with Mike Lange calling the on Mercer area station WLLF “ESPN 96.7.” The station flipped to ESPN Radio a few months back and no longer broadcasts in stereo in order to reach a wider area without the hiss you would hear further from the station with the stereo signal on. The station is also a Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate. It’s not clear if the games are still on long time Pens’ home WPIC 790 from nearby Sharon. Great signal by day but non existant at night in outlying areas unlike ESPN 96.7 with its FM presence. The team is also on WKQW 96.3 in Oil City.
