- KDKA-AM (1020) host Marty Griffin will broadcast from Bellevue Borough’s “Grill-abration” on Thursday to protest the borough council’s proposed ban on grilling within five feet of any combustible material. Residents and Bellevue Mayor George Doscher are opposed to the ban. The event running from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. is being sponsored by Liberty in Bellevue.
- WYEP-FM (91.3) will offer a tribute to the music of The Rolling Stones on Thursday. The tribute commemorates the 50th anniversary of the group’s first performance together. The playlist will include Rolling Stones classics, deep cuts, live tracks and covers throughout the day. Additionally, the group will be the topic of the station’s Daily Feedback feature where listeners can offer their thoughts via social media beginning at 7:15 a.m. The Rolling Stones’ first concert was held at the Marquee Club in London on July 12, 1962.
