Ratings

October 27, 2016 Off By Eric O'Brien

A day late, but better late than never. The October ratings came out and with very little surprise, I must admit. WDVE (102.5) is number one for October no doubt due to the Steelers broadcasts. That means it flipped with sister station WWSW (94.5) which is number two this month. The two have been leapfrogging since at least May with one or the other having a 10 share while the other has a nine share. iHeartMedia also earns the station in third place which is WKST (96.1).

Steel city media’s WRRK (96.9) is fourth while Renda’s WSHH (99.7) is fifth. Come mid-November, usually around Pittsburgh’s Light-up Night, WSHH will flip to an all Christmas format as will WWSW. This will be the first year in several that we will see WSHH’s results in that contest.

CBS’ KDKA (1020) and iHeart’s WBGG (970) are the only two AM stations that make it to the list. While I’m sure there would be other AMs on this list, most of them belong to non-subscribing companies. While W BGG falls at the bottom with a .3, KDKA falls somewhere in the middle with a 4.9.
