RTV being swapped for ME-TV

Effective June 13 of this year, WPXI-TV (11) will be replacing Retro TV (“RTV”) on Channel 11.2 with ME-TV. Me-TV also airs old reruns, but likely a different selection than RTV. “ME” apparently stands for Memorable Entertainment and first aired on Chicago station WFBT (now WWME-CA 23) from Noon – 3:00 p.m. It would later expand to WDJT-TV in Milwaukee and in late 2010 went national with Metro-Goldwin-Mayer handling distribution. It is in direct competition with RTV. Me-TV is owned by Weigel Broadcasting who, together with MGM, also operates ThisTV which is carried on WTAE-TV’s (4) secondary channel 4.2.
