Steel City Media expands to Kansas City

_wsb_549x394_SCM++colorlogoThe Pittsburgh Business Times reports that Steel City Media has an agreement to buy a four FM cluster in Kansas City from Wilks Broadcast Group. The stations include KFKF-FM, KBEQ-FM, KMXV-FM, and KCKC-FM. Steel City’s vice president Gregg Frischling says the stations will maintain their formats, staffs and studio location.The Frischlings have been looking to expand the company for the last two years.

Steel City Media owns WLTJ (92.9) and WRRK (96.9) as well as the City Paper.
