The most ratings-filled time of the year

November 15, 2009 Off By Jason

Let the record show that Renda’s soft-rock “Wish” WSHH-FM (99.7) flipped to Christmas music on Saturday.

In 2008, of course, WWSW-FM (94.5) brought the holiday cheer in mid-October, so I guess we can be grateful that we didn’t have to hear “Happy Xmas (War is Over)” before Halloween this year.

In other words, count your blessings. And may God bless us, everyone!

And may a sick reindeer barf on the lawn of 900 Parish St.!

UPDATE: Before the reindeer do their thing, Eric would like to point out that the Christmas music actually started the prior weekend on WSHH and went back to the regular format at the beginning of the week. One suspects the same thing will happen this week, but with Light-Up Night taking place this Friday, that will likely be the beginning of the month-long Christmas run. (Ending on Christmas Day when Christmas is literally just beginning!)
