WAVL back on the air

Our Ace Cub Reporter gave us the news tonight that WAVL (910 Apollo) is back on the air along with its new translator as of today. Its new translator operates on 98.7 FM which has not been assigned a new callsign to represent the channel number associated with the frequency of 98.7.

Another report we received stated that WAVL and the translator are a simulcast of new sister station WCNS (1480 Latrobe).

It is also interesting to note that a translator which was purchased and moved within the 250 mile range recently permitted by the FCC, must remain with the station that it is assigned to for four years before it can be moved to another station.
