WAVL sold; deal pending FCC approval

August 16, 2013 Off By Eric O'Brien

Assuming the FCC approves, Evangel Heights Assembly of God is selling WAVL-AM (910 Apollo) to Family Life Media Com, Inc. Family Life owns and operates Kittanning’s WTYM (1380). The format has already flipped from conservative talk to a mix of Christian music and various ministry programs, but the stations are not simulcast. An agreement within a letter of intent to purchase does not allow for either party to discuss the transaction publicly.
