13544_207502750534_5260002_nTom Taylor reports today that Beaver County AMs WBVP (1230 Beaver Falls) and WMBA (1460 Ambridge) have been sold. Iorio Broadcasting, owned by native Frank Iorio, Jr. sold the pair to Sound Ideas Media, owned by Mark and Cynthia Peterson. The Petersons are forking over $750,000 for the stations; $610,000 in cash. From what we can tell, there is no intention of changing the programming. Meanwhile, Iorio has agreed to a three-year non-compete within 25 miles.

  1. Does anybody else remember that WBVP’s call letters are supposed to stand for “We Boost Valley Progress.”
