August 22, 2012 Off By Eric O'Brien

Renda Broadcasting announced today that the Fox Sports affiliation on WCCS-AM (1160 Indiana) will be dropped on September 1 in favor of ESPN Radio. The company will also move the cluster’s Pittsburgh Steelers Radio Network broadcast from sister WQMU-FM (92.5) to the new sports outlet while adding the Pittsburgh Panthers Radio Network. The affiliation will be part-time beginning at 6:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. during the week. The majority of  weekend airtime will be devoted to ESPN.

The Pittsburgh Pirates will retain their position on the station as will high school football and basketball.
