WDSY to Debut New Morning Show
October 5, 2017WDSY (107.9) will launch a brand-new morning show on Monday, October 9 (5:00 – 10:00 a.m.) called “Broadway’s Backyard” hosted by “Broadway” who is considered a veteran country voice.
CBS Radio Pittsburgh vice president of programming Mark Anderson says, “Broadway brings the total package to Y108. These dynamic and engaging with a fresh approach to morning radio Broadway’s backyard will bring an entirely new and unique option to our current and prospective future listeners in Pittsburgh.”
Broadway says CBS radio has the right mindset: “local radio wins!” Most recently he was the morning host the country formatted WWYZ in Hartford, Connecticut. He previously worked at two stations in Grand Rapids Michigan – WBCT and WSNX.
Broadway’s first appearance will happen before he’s on the air, as tonight he hosts “Broadway Buys You a Beer” at the station’s annual Y108 Girls With Guitars concert at Rivers Casino – a fundraiser for Pittsburgh-based Glimmer of Hope.
I still wish they could bring back Allie Butler, even if he means back on 10-3.
