WESA & WYEP merging boards

November 16, 2015 Off By Eric O'Brien

The Post-Gazette reports that WESA (90.5) and WYEP (91.3) are merging governing boards and  create a single non-profit entity. The individual stations will remain separate in programming, staff, an membership. The move was in the works since the entity that operated WYEP purchased the old WDUQ four years ago. Since the half of debt from the purchase has been paid down, the time was right to make this move.
