WKTX 830 transmitter issues

PBRTV reader Anthony Belle reports that WKTX 830 in Cortland has been experiencing clipping or chopping of audio with the station. The daytimer provides a various mix of programming to the Valley. He has worked at WKTX and contacted their engineer that the issues is related to the large amount of water from the rain at the transmitter site. The problem will correct itself when the ground dries up (whenever that will be, there is more rain in the forecast this coming week.) The transmitter can be adjusted for the wet conditions but would have to be readjusted again for dry conditions. Ultimately, the grounding system will need to be upgraded which is not in the station budget at this time.
