FTVLive reported Tuesday that WPXI’s Jennifer Tomazic was the victim of a paintball attack during preparation for a live report early on Monday morning. Videographer Moe Jetter intervened and informed Tomazic that she was the victim of a paintball gun.

In the wake of this event and especially last week’s fatal shooting of a Roanoke reporter and videographer, WPXI has implemented new policies. Live shots are now per the reporter and videographer’s call. And reporters are no longer allowed to knock on doors.

  1. The station was trying to keep that incident quiet to avoid copycats. Figures that FTVLive would run with it.
