All Access is reporting this afternoon that WPYT-AM (660 Wilkinsburg) is being sold to Tim Martz’s Radio Power Inc. for $290,000. The sale has not yet been filed with the FCC.

A previous deal to sell the station to Eddie Edwards for $500,000 fell through a year ago. The station’s current owner is Langer Broadcasting.

Update 3:50 p.m.Radio-info reports that Martz has applied to the FCC to move FM translator W261AX’s C-O-L from Oakdale to Pittsburgh. The translator at 100.1 is said to re-broadcast WDUQ-FM (90.5) but he could re-purpose the translator to simulcast WPYT which is a daytime-only signal.
