WQED-FM ending pledge drive early

In a move PBRTV considers unprecidented, WQED-FM (89.3) will be ending its current pledge drive early – effective May 31. In a message to volunteers Friday afternoon, Volunteer Coordinator Peter Riesbeck said “I can’t tell you how sad it’s been to see the phones so silent. The lack of public support for our drive has disappointed us all.” Station Manager Susan Johnson is expected to produce some messages for Monday morning’s drive time from 6-9.
