WTAE hires former intern for noon news
March 29, 2017Greensburg native and former WTAE intern Kelly Sasso has been hired by the station. Sasso will do morning traffic reports and breaking news as well as anchoring the noon news. Since 2010, she has worked in the Fayetteville, Arkansas market as a morning, and later evening, newscasts. She has won regional Emmys for her work there.

Does this mean another existing news anchor will anchor weekend news for a change? A station that is so cheap that makes sports reporters anchor newscasts can’t have much of a leg to stand on when it negotiates with satellite services like DishTV.
