WTAE starts 4:30 a.m. newscast

Let the news wars begin… (Again!) WTAE-TV (4) is following in WPXI-TV’s (11) footsteps by starting their morning newscast at 4:30 instead of 5. WTAE announced the move during their noon newscast today (that’s when WE saw it). When WPXI started this trend late last spring, it was said that it this could be a new trend throughout the country as many commuters wake up earlier in the day.
