YEP expands “Morning Mix”

Public station WYEP-FM (91.3) announced an addition to its Morning Mix program. Joey Spehar, a long-time volunteer host at the station, will join Cindy Howes as co-host after an extensive national search. Spehar began as an intern at the station in 2006 while he attended Robert Morris University. He continued on to become a volunteer host of the “Friday Night Block Party”. Additionally he has been a producer for “The Allegheny Front” which airs on sister station WESA-FM (90.5).

Spehar will create on-air content as well as developing digital programming over several media platforms. Howes says she is looking forward to working with Spehar. “I think our listeners are going to really enjoy what we have planned,” she said.
