If you don’t know the name Frank Marmion, you might know his voice. A local advertising executive for decades, Marmion passed away on December 15 after a short illness. He was 73. The Pittsburgh Business Times reports.

Marmion, known affectionately as “Rusty” by those who knew him best, started in radio before working for some of the larger advertising firms and eventually opened his own firm in the 1980s. In the mid-2000s, he combined his company with a new startup and would serve as the senior executive. He “retired” in 2012 only to start one-man consulting firm – Marmion Marketing Communications, LLC.

For those who recognize the voice before the name, Marmion was recently a spokesman for Jim Shorkey Auto Group usually having a conversation with a member of the Shorkey family about the deals at their dealerships.
